Real Wedding : Tiffany and Charlie by Justin and Mary

I love how the world works, how people are connected and the contacts you make when trundling around the Internet! I have to put it out there that I am always a little bowled over and left somewhat giddy when I look at some of the weddings Justin and Mary photograph. These guys are based in New England (USA) BUT and there is a big but, they are also destination photographers! Which means if your heart desires, they may just pop down to OZ for your wedding :)

Today we feature the wedding of Tiffany and Charlie as seen by Justin and Mary. The colours in this wedding are gorgeous, soft ivory with moss greens and just a touch or royal blue. Tiffany’s wedding dress is an a-line gown with a lace and bead overlay, it’s incredibly feminine and elegant.

Below, Tiffany’s version of something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue

I think these green and blue are just magical together.

The reception was held at The Spa at Norwich Inn

Vintage styled photo frames have been used to display table numbers and family photos. Note the table numbers are years and hold corresponding images from that particular year. It’s all in the detail!

I LOVE Tiffany and Charlie’s wedding cake LOVE.

Tiffany and Charlie incorporated some fun into their wedding reception and played a game on the dance floor!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful wedding & work with us!

Until next time

Real Wedding – Tealily Photography – Arlene and Michael

Today we are featuring the gorgeous wedding of Arlene and Michael. They were married at Garrison Church at The Rocks and held their reception at Ottomans Pier 2.

Trish from Tealily Photography has done a beautiful job capturing the details of Arlene and Michael’s wedding.

Arlene chose an very soft, feminine delicate wedding dress. Her bouquet ties in beautifully with subtle colours and ivory tones.

Michael and his attendants wore grey pinstriped suits which really compliment the soft orange bridesmaids dresses.

A beautiful tea ceremony was incorporated into the day to honour family heritage.

One of Arlene’s bridesmaids made their beautiful wedding cake. The purple flowers add such a lovely touch of colour.

Postcards were then used instead of a guest book for people to write messages of well wishes to the couple and then place in a wire birdcage.

Small low lying table centrepieces made from fresh flowers are always such an elegant way to decorate tables at a wedding reception. Again, using a colour such as purple is a fantastic way of lifting

any space and adding depth to your room.

Live sax… how very cool!

Congratulations on your recent marriage Arlene and Michael and thank you Trish for sharing some of your truly devine wedding photography with us!

Cori Cook – Floral Designer

I love weddings,  love colour, flowers and good photography… put all of these together and what do you have? My answer would be Cori Cook, Denver based Floral Designer.

Cori’s work is incredible. Her use of colour, fresh foliage and fabrics create the most amazing floral and bouquets.

I asked Cori to provide us with a little information about her fabulous self, and some of this year’s wedding trends!

“I am Cori Cook of Cori Cook Floral Design.  I am in my mid-twenties and started Cori Cook Floral Design about 2 years ago.  We are a fashion-forward, stylish, and distinct floral design company that specializes in weddings and events.  We work in a range of styles, from rustic arrangements in wooden planter boxes, to vintage and ultra feminine designs.  I love almost all flowers, so it is hard to find a design I don’t like to do!

Because we work primarily in Denver, CO, a big trend that we have seen this year is a rustic-elegant style.  Brides love using aspen or birch wood stumps as cake stands, aspen poles or branches in arrangements, and we have done a lot of birch wrapped containers with mountain-elegant arrangements with more of an organic, wildflower feel.  These arrangements usually involve a lot of textures like berries, branches, and lots of filler florals.

We are also always encouraging brides to think outside the book of simple glassware floral containers.  Instead of an over-used glass cube vase, we are designing more in vintage tea-cups, black lacquer and unique-shaped containers, logs, tea-pots, antique cans, or anything else we can get our hand on that is unique and fun.  We also do a lot of fabric wrapping on vases with duponi silk or using a patterned fabric (which is my favorite!).”

Thank you Cori for sharing your work with us.

Until next time
