Obviously I love weddings, and could spend (and do) a large amount of time pouring over delicious details, personal touches and romantic stories of how a couple met and their journey towards their wedding. Sara and David’s Sydney wedding is full of delicious detail, from the crystals hung in the trees surrounding their wedding ceremony venue to the crystals adorning their bonbonniere wine stoppers!

Their Story
Tell us about your love story so far. How did you meet, what was the proposal like?
David and I met when we were 17years old at a mutual friends party, and have been together ever since.
David proposed to me on a Friday night at our new home by surprise with my dream ring and then took me out for an amazing dinner
How long was your engagement?
7 months
Tell us about “The Dress”
I had the dress made by a designer from Alex Perry. It was exactly what I had wanted and I loved it so much.
It was strapless and had a crystal detail along the top of the dress. It was a corset style on top then the skirt was flowy and had a small train. It was made with the whitest most delicate Italian chiffon. The back of my dress also had had a long row of delicate buttons.
The Grooms Attire
David wore a Light grey suit with a very faint white pinstripe through it. The shirt was a crisp white also with a very faint pinstripe. The belt and shoe colour was matching in cream.
What special touches did you do to help make your wedding unique?
I hired a wedding ceremony designer to design our ceremony location which was in a garden. We hung crystals from trees, had a beautiful wrought iron arch which we also hung crystals off and wrapped white chiffon around.
Flower Details
The flowers in my bouquet were all white David Austin roses and a small amount of greenery and the bridesmaids bouquets were a mixture of white David Austin roses and dusty pink lisianthus
Did your wedding have a theme?
The theme that I went for was classic glam
Describe your cake (if applicable)
Our cake was a tall square white choc mud, surrounded with white choc panels and topped with fresh flowers
What moment took your breath away?
The moment that I locked eyes with David while walking down the isle, both of our smiles couldn’t of been bigger if we tried!
Where did you go for your Honeymoon?
Seminyak, Bali
